CMA issues blue blizzard warning for parts of China on Friday (06 February)

The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued a blue blizzard warning for parts of China on Friday (06 February), forecasting heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions across several eastern regions.

• Heavy snow is expected in parts of southern Anhui, northern Zhejiang, southern Jiangsu, and southwestern Shanghai. In addition, blizzard conditions with snowfall amounts ranging between 10 and 17 millimetres are forecast in southeastern Anhui and northwestern Zhejiang.
• Accumulated snow depths across affected areas are expected to reach 3 to 6 centimetres, with localized accumulations exceeding 10 centimetres, particularly in higher-impact zones.
