The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued a warning for severe convective weather, effective from 1400 hours on Saturday (12 April) to 1400 hours on Sunday (13 April).

• As per the warning, parts of southern South China and other places will likely witness thunderstorm gale or hail weather above Level 8, among which parts of southeastern Fujian, central and southern Guangdong and other places are predicted to witness thunderstorm gale above Level 10, with the maximum wind force reaching above Level 11.
• Parts of southern South China, southern Southwest China and other places will likely experience short-term heavy rainfall with hourly rainfall exceeding 20 mm, among which parts of southeastern Fujian, southern Guangdong and other places will have hourly rainfall exceeding 50 mm, with the maximum reaching over 60 mm .
• The ground and elevated sections of Beijing’s 15 rail transit lines have been suspended.
• Of the city’s 396 bus routes involving mountainous areas, 221 have been suspended.
• Train services such as the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed ​​Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed ​​Railway, and Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway have also been temporarily suspended.
• Parks such as the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven have suspended their opening hours, the Palace Museum has also been closed, and many sporting events originally scheduled for the weekend have been postponed or cancelled.
