CM Vijay to visit Tiruchirapalli on Monday (01 June)

As per reports, the Chief Minister (CM) of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, is expected to visit Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) on Monday (01 June), to thank the people of Trichy East constituency for voting for him.

He is expected to participate in a grand public meeting at St. Josephs’s College campus. The following are details of the traffic and security arrangements to be implemented for the visit:

• The following traffic changes for buses are expected to be implemented from 1000 hours (local time) on Monday (01 June):
• Restrictions have been imposed on city buses from the Central Bus Stand and Thiruverumpur areas to travel directly towards Chattiram Bus Stand.
• All buses going from Central Bus Stand and Thiruverumpur towards Chattiram Bus Stand will be diverted via Marakkadada.
• All buses coming on this alternate route must drop off their passengers near the Main Guard Gate and Gandhi Statue.
• After dropping off passengers, buses can use the Aransalai route to head towards their destination.
• Additionally, heavy police deployment is expected across Trichy ahead of the CM visit. To avoid any untoward incident and ensure VIP security, the District Collector has imposed a strict ban on flying drones or other unmanned aerial vehicles in the Tiruchirappalli district limits.
• Only those with a digital entry pass printed with an official QR code, distributed in advance by the party leadership, will be allowed onto the meeting premises.
