Closure of Cork Airport’s runway announced on Sunday (05 January)

As per reports, on Sunday (05 January), Cork Airport’s runway has been closed due to adverse weather conditions, specifically moderate snowfall.

• Flights originally scheduled to land at Cork Airport are being diverted to Dublin Airport as a result of the closure.
• Passengers are advised to check with their airline or refer to airline websites and mobile apps for up-to-date flight information.
• Snowfall and ice teams are working to clear the runway and taxiways, but disruption to both arriving and departing flights is expected.
• Cork remains under a status orange snowfall warning, which is in effect until 1700 hours (local time) on Sunday (05 January).
