Closure of a mall scheduled for 15 days in Bangalore starting Sunday (31 December)

As per reports, in response to severe traffic congestion and inconveniences to residential owners, the Bengaluru Police has ordered the closure of Phoenix Mall of Asia, effective from Sunday (31 December) to 15 January.

Apart from the closure, the police also issued an order to the mall authorities to provide parking facilities for at least 10,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers. Inadequate parking facilities at the mall have resulted in severe traffic congestion on the service road alongside the main road.
