As per reports, Sérgio Cipriano, administrator of Mocímboa da Praia district, in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado, has announced the closure of 21 schools as a result of the recent upsurge in terrorist attacks in that region, on Friday (23 May).
• Out of 60 schools in the district, only 39 remain operational.
• Constant movement of terrorists in these places has caused the population to move to the Mocímboa da Praia district capital, the town of Nango and the villages of Chinda and Mangono.
