Classes in Oman to remain suspended from Tuesday (23 April)

As per reports, due to the rainfall forecast in the Sultanate of Oman, all schools in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate will suspend classes and transition to distance learning from Tuesday ( 23 April ) to Thursday (25 April).

• Oman Meteorology forecasts scattered rainfall with thunder, accompanied by active downward winds and hail, leading to the flow of reefs and valleys across several governorates from Tuesday (23 April) to Thursday (25 April).
• On Tuesday (23 April), morning schools will operate in person until 1200 hours local time and classes in evening schools will be suspended and switched to a distance education system.
• Directorate General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate advised school administrations in North Al Batinah Governorate to follow up on weather developments and ensure safety protocols are in place. School administrations located near valley streams and reefs are also instructed to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures for students and educational staff.
