As per reports, clashes have been witnessed in Bommanapali and Ramulapalli areas of Karimnagar district on Tuesday (27 February) between Indian National Congress (INC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers. BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Bandi Sanjay had organized a ‘Prajahita Padayatra’ in the district, leading to protests by INC workers, attempting to stop the rally.

In Ramulapalli, BJP workers allegedly attacked INC workers, leading to police intervention. Three INC workers were reportedly injured. Further, in Bommanapali, additional security personnel were deployed to prevent INC workers from reaching the rally, leading to mild tension between BJP and INC workers and protests from both parties. The demonstrators were dispersed from the area by the police.
