As per reports, a violent clash between members of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Jamaat-e-Islami Party was reported near Pirerbagh Al-Mubarak Mosque in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Tuesday (20 January) evening.

The clash began after arguments between Jamaat leaders and others following Maghrib prayers, escalating into chasing and counter-chasing, resulting in injuries to 15 people. Security personnel were deployed to disperse the crowd and control the situation.
