As per reports, a Civil Defence Air Raid and Blackout Mock Drill is scheduled for Thursday (23 April), in Jammu and Kashmir, including Anantnag and Kupwara. The mock drill will be held at 1530 hours (local time), and blackout will occur from 2000 hours to 2010 hours.

The exercise aims to test emergency readiness with sirens and power outages, requiring public cooperation, while locals are advised not to panic, as the exercise is a routine simulation of a blackout scenario.
