As per reports, the Ministry of National Defense informed that from 0600 hours on Saturday (03 January) to 0600 hours Sunday (04 January), a Chinese Communist Party balloon was detected 101 nautical miles southwest of Taichung.

The authorities alos released information on Sunday (04 January) on the dynamics of the sea and airspace surrounding Taiwan, stating that a total of five Chinese warships and one Chinese government vessel were detected, continuing to operate around Taiwan.
