As per reports, a chemical explosion occurred at the Derrimut factory on Wednesday (10 July). Several fire fighters have been dispatched to the incident site. The authorities have informed that toxic smoke has been spreading due to the fire. A watch and act alert has been issued for the fire in- Albion, Braybrook, Brooklyn, Derrimut, Laverton North, Sunshine, Sunshine West, Tottenham and Truganina areas.
