According to reports, the joint platform of 10-central trade unions, barring the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, have urged the government to scrap the four labour codes while calling for a nationwide general strike on 20 May 2025 against anti-worker and pro-corporate policies.
The National Convention of Workers organised by the platform of Central Trade Unions and Independent Sectoral Federations and Associations adopted a declaration to carry out a two-month campaign which will be culminated with a nationwide general strike on 20 May.
