The Forest Fire Management Victoria issued a Watch and Act bushfire warning for Burrowye and Thologolong on Tuesday (06 January) at 0023 hours (local time).

Authorities reported an out-of-control bushfire located approximately 27 kilometers west of Walwa, with the fire advancing from Mount Lawson National Park in a north-westerly direction towards Murray River Road.
