As per reports, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party leaders and supporters staged a demonstration in black shirts in Kothagudem, Telangana, on Tuesday (08 September), protesting the arrests of BRS MLAs and MLCs, which the party described as illegal.
• The demonstration was organised following the arrest of BRS MLCs Tata Madhusudan and Naveen Kumar Reddy by Hyderabad Police over alleged derogatory remarks concerning Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
• As part of the demonstration, protesters held a rally from Kothagudem Post Office Centre to Super Bazaar Centre, raising slogans against the state government.
• Following the rally, a press conference was held at the Kothagudem Club, where BRS leaders criticised the arrests and accused the Congress government of acting against their party leaders. Several local BRS leaders and municipal representatives also participated in the demonstration.
