As per reports, a potential bomb threat occurred during a prayer rally outside the federal building in downtown Des Moines on Wednesday (04 June). The Des Moines Police Department Bomb Squad are responding to the incident.

Walnut Street between Second Avenue and Third Street are closed whilst the investigation continues.

• Police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat, but the public are advised to avoid the area for the time being.
• A man was taken into custody.
