Bomb threat reported at Pune Mayor’s Office on Wednesday (10 June)

As per reports, a bomb threat was reported at the Pune Mayor’s Office in Pune, Maharashtra, on Wednesday (10 June), after a threatening email was sent to the office’s official email account.

• The email allegedly threatened the Pune Mayor’s Office, several locations in Nagpur, and the RSS headquarters, and referenced a possible IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack along with specific dates and timings.
• Following the threat, Pune Police, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and the Cyber Crime Cell launched a coordinated investigation to verify the authenticity of the threat, identify the individual or group responsible, and trace the origin of the email.
• As a precautionary measure, security and surveillance have been intensified at all locations mentioned in the message. Authorities have stated that no suspicious objects have been found so far, while investigations and security checks remain ongoing.
