As per reports, the Nagpur Airport received a bomb threat via email at around 0730 hours on Tuesday (22 July), triggering a search operation by security forces. The email warned that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) had been placed inside a cigarette packet and could detonate at any time.

The police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and a fire brigade are currently conducting thorough checks on the airport premises.
