Bomb threat reported at Bareilly Passport Office on Friday (27 March)

As per reports, the Bareilly Passport Office received a bomb threat via email around 1115 hours (local time) on Friday (27 March), claiming that the bomb would explode around 1400 hours (local time).

• Dog squads and bomb squads have arrived at the office, and a thorough investigation has been launched.
• As a precautionary measure, the entire passport office premises was immediately evacuated. Applicants and employees who had come to obtain passports were safely evacuated, while security was also increased in the surrounding area.
• No suspcious objects have been discovered thus far.
