Bomb threat received at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on Saturday (25 April)

As per reports, a bomb threat email was received at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad on Saturday (25 April), prompting an immediate high alert and extensive security checks across the terminal.

The email reportedly claimed that explosive devices had been planted inside the airport premises. Following this, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with local police, launched a comprehensive anti-sabotage operation.

• Meanwhile, airport operations continued under heightened surveillance, while officials stated that a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was convened to evaluate the credibility of the threat in accordance with standard aviation security protocols.
• A comprehensive search of the airport premises, including terminals and surrounding areas, was carried out using bomb detection squads and sniffer dogs.
• No suspicious objects have been identified so far, and verification procedures remain ongoing.
