As per reports, civil court complexes in Purnia and Buxar, located in Bihar, were evacuated on Friday (13 February) after authorities received bomb threat emails targeting the judicial facilities.
• In Purnia, an anonymous email sent to the police warned of an imminent attack, prompting the administration to clear the court premises, surrounding areas, and nearby educational institutions as a precaution.
• Security was intensified, and access roads near the court were temporarily restricted while bomb disposal squads conducted inspections.
• In Buxar, a similar email was sent to the District Judge around 1115 hours (local time), triggering immediate activation of security protocols.
• Police evacuated lawyers, staff, and visitors through public announcements, suspended court proceedings, and sealed entry and exit points while technical teams searched the premises.
• No explosives have been found so far, and authorities are continuing verification while maintaining heightened vigilance.
