As per reports, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts several cities in Indonesia to witness inclement weather on Friday (17 January).
• In Java, Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya are predicted to experience light to moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, Semarang has the potential for heavy rainfall.
• In Sumatra, light to moderate rainfall is predicted in Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang, Bengkulu, and Jambi. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall has the potential to occur in Medan, Padang, Palembang, Pangkal Pinang, and Lampung.
• Denpasar and Kupang are predicted to experience light to moderate rainfall. Furthermore in Kalimantan, most areas have the potential for heavy rainfall such as in Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin.
• For the Sulawesi region, the Manado region has the potential for high-intensity rainfall meanwhile, Gorontalo, Makassar, Palu, Mamuju, and Kendari have the potential for light to moderate rainfall.
• The Eastern Indonesia region is predicted to be witness light to moderate rainfall such as in Sorong, Nabire, Ambon, Jayawijaya, Ternate, and Merauke.
