The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) has issued a weather warning for moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, for parts of South Sulawesi, valid from 0840 hours to 1040 hours (local time) on Saturday (21 February).

• Locations likely to be impacted by moderate to heavy rainfall include Tanralili, Cenrana, Tompobulu in Maros Regency; and Suli, Bua Ponrang, Belopa, Ponrang, Kamanre, North Belopa, South Ponrang in Luwu Regency.
• The warning may extend to the areas of North Galesong in Takalar Regency; Bajeng, Barombong, West Bajeng in Gowa Regency; Bontocani in Bone Regency; Camba, Bantimurung, Simbang in Maros Regency; Balocci in Pangkajene and Islands Regency; Curio in Enrekang Regency; Basse Sangtempe, Larompong, Bajo, Bua, Latimojong, West Suli, West Bajo in Luwu Regency; Mengkendek in Tana Toraja Regency; Tamalate in Makassar City.
