The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued a blue gale warning at 1800 hours (local time) on Friday (02 October) for strong winds across parts of China from Friday (02 October) to Sunday (04 October).
Following are the latest updates available:
• From 2000 hours (local time) on Friday (02 October) to 2000 hours (local time) on Saturday (03 October), winds of force five to seven, with gusts of force seven to nine, are forecast across parts of eastern Xinjiang, the Hexi Corridor in Gansu, northern Qinghai, central and western Inner Mongolia, northern Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, northern Shanxi, northern Hebei, and western and northern Beijing.
• From 2000 hours (local time) on Saturday (03 October) to 2000 hours (local time) on Sunday (04 October), winds of force five to six, with gusts of force seven to nine, are forecast across parts of northern Xinjiang, northern Qinghai, central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northern Hebei, western and northern Beijing, Tianjin, the northern Shandong Peninsula, and western and southern Liaoning.
• From 2000 hours (local time) on Saturday (03 October) to 2000 hours (local time) on Sunday (04 October), the Bohai Sea and Bohai Strait are forecast to experience winds of force seven to eight, with gusts reaching force nine.
