As per reports, the Berlin Half Marathon is scheduled to be held on Sunday (06 April), with over 35,000 participants, including runners, inline skaters, wheelchair users, and handbikers.
• The Race will begin with the inline skaters’ at 0915 hours local time. Following that, at 0955 hours local time, the wheelchair racers and handbikers take to the course. The reset of the marathon participants will begin at 1005 hours local time.
• The marathon route starts at the Victory Column, the route heads toward Charlottenburg Palace. Then the route leads along Schloßstraße, Windscheidstraße, Droysenstraße, and Nestorstraße. The route then continues past the Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church) and across Potsdamer Platz into the eastern part of the city. The missing detour to Lietzensee is compensated for by a section across Strausberger Platz. Participants then run along Unter den Linden to the finish at the Brandenburg Gate.
• On Sunday, (06 April) from 0700 hours to 1730 hours (local time) full closure of Unter den Linden between Brandenburg Gate and Spandauer Straße has been announced. Cars will not be able to cross the route or will only be allowed to do so if authorized by traffic marshals. There will also be restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists.
