As per reports, the Telangana Auto Drivers Union Joint Action Committee has announced a statewide strike on Saturday (07 December) along with a large-scale rally in Hyderabad, with possibly one lakh participants. The Union will take this action to demand a solution to their demands, which include issuing 20,000 new auto permits in Hyderabad, implementing third-party insurance for autos and increasing accident insurance coverage to INR 10 lakhs.
They have also demanded an immediate financial assistance of INR 12,000 for each driver’s family.
