According to reports, the Drainage Services Department has cautioned citizens against increasing incidents of flooding and landslide incidents in parts of Hong Kong, on Thursday (25 April).
• The Hong Kong Observatory has stated that rainfall with thunderstorm is expected to persist through the evening of Thursday (25 April), till evening of Friday (26 April). No severe weather warnings are active currently.
• The Drainage Services Department has cautioned against flash-flooding and landslide in Yuen Long district, North district, and Sai Kung district.
• High-speed rail services between Hong Kong and southern Guangzhou were also suspended or redirected on Thursday (25 April) in response to severe weather in mainland China.
• The MTR Corporation informed of the suspension of Guangzhou South-bound routes G6528, G6516, G6530 and G6536, as well as Hong Kong-bound routes G6527, G6515, G6529 and G6535.
• Hong Kong’s rail operator added that two routes between the city’s West Kowloon terminus and Guangzhou South, G6510 and G6511, were redirected to Shenzhen North.
