At least one dead in multi-vehicular collision near Borella, Colombo on Monday (28 July)

As per reports, at least one person has been killed and more than five others rendered injured in a multi-vehicle accident at the Kanatte roundabout near the Borella Cemetery in Colombo on Monday (28 July) morning.

The accident occurred when a crane truck with faulty brakes lost control and collided with at least six parked bikes and three cars; the accident led to heavy traffic congestion near the Kanatte roundabout. The injured were rushed to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment, and a probe into the accident has been initiated.
