As per reports, the Association of Airline Pilots (APLA) in Argentina has announced that it will resume strike actions beginning Friday (08 August). This move follows the expiration of the mandatory conciliation period set by the Ministry of Labour.
• The protest is in response to Decree 378/2025, which changed the maximum rest and duty periods for commercial flight crews without prior agreement with the union. APLA argues that these changes compromise both pilot well-being and passenger safety.
• The union reported that no dialogue or proposals have been received from the government during the conciliation phase.
• The union has committed to continuing its action plan until the government annuls Decree 378/2025.
