Anti-war protest scheduled at Belfast City Hall on Monday (02 March)

As per reports, an anti-war rally titled ‘Don’t Bomb Iran’ is scheduled to take place at Belfast City Hall on Monday (02 March) at 1800 hours local time (1800 hours UTC). The demonstration is being organised by anti-war activists in response to the ongoing US-led bombing campaign against Iran.

• The event is expected to feature several speakers, including Iranian academic Azadeh Sobout, US historian and anti-war activist Brian Kelly, and representatives from the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
• On Sunday (01 March), a separate gathering took place outside Belfast City Hall where participants expressed support for the US-Israeli strikes, indicating potential for opposing groups to mobilise in the same area.
