Amoebic meningoencephalitis case reported in Alappuzah – Saturday (29 November)

According to reports, Kottayam Medical College confirmed a case of amoebic meningoencephalitis on Saturday (29 November). Authorities have issued an alert urging the public of Alappuzha to avoid bathing, swimming, diving, or washing their faces in unclean ponds, stagnant water bodies, or swimming pools that have not been properly chlorinated.

The instructions also state that water sources in homes and government and private institutions should be chlorinated. An official directive is awaited.
