As per reports, on Monday (09 September) the Montana Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality alert for Deer Lodge, Granite, Lake, Mineral, Missoula, Powell and Ravalli counties in Montana.

The alert is forecast to remain in effect until 0900 hours local time on Tuesday (10 September). The air quality alert has been issued due to wildfire smoke that has been settling across the area.
