As per reports, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) issued an Ozone Action Day for the Dallas-Fort Worth area for Friday (13 September).
Atmospheric conditions are projected to be conducive to elevated ozone levels, potentially reaching the lower to middle end of the ‘unhealthy for sensitive groups’ range (level three on a scale of six) in the central region and northern parts of the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas.
• Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5/PM10) is expected to reach the lower end of the ‘moderate’ range in parts of Brownsville-McAllen, Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso, and Houston.
• Majority of Amarillo, Bryan-College Station, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa, Tyler-Longview, and Waco-Killeen areas are forecast to remain in the upper end of the ‘good’ range.
