As per reports, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has announced a protest demonstration in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, scheduled for 1000 hours (local time) on Thursday (12 March). The protest will reportedly take place on Munich Road near Dinamani Theater.
• According to a statement issued by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the protest is being organised to condemn alleged irregularities and corruption within the Madurai Corporation administration and to criticise the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government.
• Party officials indicated that the demonstration will be led by former minister Sellur K. Raju and will be attended by AIADMK party members and affiliated groups from Madurai city and surrounding districts.
• Party representatives have called on local party cadres, former legislators, ward members, and supporters to participate in the protest in large numbers.
