• On Tuesday (24 March), wet and windy conditions are expected in parts of Northern Ireland and Wales, with heavy rainfall forecast in areas including Belfast, Cardiff, Swansea and Bangor.
• Rainfall is also expected to move across Scotland and Northern Ireland, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Fort William, Belfast, Londonderry, and Newry, on Tuesday (24 March), with the possibility of hail, thunder, and wintry rainfall over higher ground including the Scottish Highlands, Grampian Mountains, and Southern Uplands.
• Weather maps indicate snowfall on Tuesday (24 March), in parts of Scotland including Strathyre Loch Rannoch Pitlochry Fort William and Dalwhinnie.
• Heavy rainfall is forecast on Tuesday (24 March), across parts of England, including North East England, North West England, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, and Wales, affecting cities such as Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Newcastle.
• From Wednesday (25 March), colder air is expected to spread across the UK, with rainfall, sleet, and hail possible in many regions, including the West Midlands, South East England, and Northern Ireland, affecting locations such as Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, London, Reading, Brighton, Belfast, Londonderry, and Newry.
• Snowfall is forecast on Wednesday (25 March), over higher ground in northern areas including Scotland, Northern England, and parts of Wales, particularly in locations such as Fort William, Aviemore, Inverness, Carlisle, Durham, Snowdonia, and the Pennines, while lower elevation areas including Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, London, and Milton Keynes may experience cold rainfall or sleet.
• Daytime temperatures on Wednesday (25 March), are expected to range between six degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius across much of the UK, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, but strong winds may make conditions feel colder.
• Overnight temperatures late on Wednesday (25 March) may fall below freezing in rural areas, especially in Scotland, including Inverness, Fort William, Aviemore, and Pitlochry, where temperatures could reach around negative five degrees Celsius, leading to freezing conditions and possible icy surfaces on Thursday (26 March), in parts of northern Scotland, northern England, and rural Wales.
• Slightly drier conditions are forecast on Thursday (26 March), for many areas including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Leeds, and Nottingham, although cloud and rainfall may move into Northern Ireland and western Scotland later in the day, affecting Belfast, Londonderry, Glasgow, Oban, and the Western Isles.
