As per reports, varied weather conditions are expected across Chile until Friday (21 March), ranging from rainfall and thunderstorms in the north to multiple frontal systems in Patagonia and a heatwave in central Chile.

• In northern Chile, particularly in the regions of Arica-Parinacota and Tarapacá, rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in the Altiplano due to the influence of the Bolivian High, primarily occurring in the afternoons.
• Meanwhile, Patagonia is expected to experience intense weather conditions as multiple frontal systems bring heavy rainfall and strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 110 kilometres per hour in Magallanes between Tuesday (18 March) and Wednesday (19 March).
• In central Chile, a heatwave is expected to peak on Tuesday (18 March), with inland temperatures ranging between 32-36 degrees Celsius in areas from Valparaíso to Biobío. This extreme heat has prompted authorities to issue a high-temperature alert for regions between Valparaíso and Maule due to potential health and environmental risks.
• Coastal areas may also experience warm conditions, though temperatures are expected to cool down starting Wednesday (19 March) as low cloud cover develops.
