As per reports, activist groups and labor unions plan to demonstrate in parts of Paris on Thursday (25 January) and Friday (26 January) against President Emmanuel Macron’s immigration law.
• At 1100 hours local time on Thursday (25 January) the demonstrators will gather at Saint Lazare (Court of Rome) for a reportedly anti-fascist demonstration.
• Additionally, from 1100 hours to 1300 hours (local time) a strike action will be held at the Bourse du travail de République (Unemployment Office, Paris), at 03 rue du Château d’eau in Paris, Eugène Pottier room.
• General Assembly of Association and Social Workers (ASSO -Solidaires) union calls on all workers in the voluntary sector to strike, throughout France, on Thursday (25 January) against the Immigration law. An Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) will be held at the Labor Exchange annex, on 85 rue Charlot, which is open to all workers in the sector, to discuss the consequences of the law on the working conditions and to plan further strikes.
• At 1630 hours local time on Thursday (25 January), the demonstrators will gather gathering in front of the Constitutional Council on Rue de Montpensier, where the ruling over the immigration law will be held.
• On Friday (26 January) at 1600 hours local time, a rally will be held in central Paris which will begin from Place de la République towards Place du Châtelet.
