According to reports, the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) has suspended all academic activities until Friday (28 February). The decision came during an emergency syndicate meeting on Wednesday (19 February), a day after violent clashes occurred on campus over a demand to ban student politics.
Additionally, students locked the administrative and academic buildings from 1330 hours on Wednesday (19 February), following clashes over student politics. The move was part of their protest, announced on Tuesday night (18 February), which includes a five-point demand — one of which is the resignation of the vice-chancellor.
