According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), a magnitude 7.0 earthquake was recorded off the west coast of the Ogasawara Islands on Sunday (25 October).
The earthquake occurred at 1110 hours (local time), with its epicentre located at 28.0 degrees North latitude and 139.9 degrees East longitude, with a focal depth of 470 kilometers.
