As per the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 6.0 magnitude earthquake was reported 59.5 km southeast of Balıkesir, Balıkesir at approximately 2248 hours local time (1948 hours UTC) on Monday (27 October).

The earthquake was reported at a depth of 10 km.

• Tremors was felt in several provinces including İstanbul, İzmir, Manisa and Tekirdağ.
