The Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) has reported that an earthqauke of 5.7 magnitude occurred at a distance of 64 kilometres northwest of Lebong-Bengkulu around 2358 hours (local time) on Saturday (07 March).

It occurred at a depth of 47 kilometres and currently is not expected to cause a tsunami.
