The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.3 magnitude earthquake, approximately 138 kilometers northeast of Melonguane, North Sulawesi, on Sunday (08 February), at 0532 hours (local time).

The earthquake was reported at a depth of 26 kilometres with no major seismic intensity observed in the areas around the epicentre.
