As per reports, a moderate magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported 38 kilometres from Volcan, Chiriqui Province, on Friday (18 September) at 1709 hours local time (2209 hours UTC).
Reports indicate that the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 14 kilometres.
