The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.1 magnitude earthquake, at a distance of 99 kilometres southwest of Tahuna City, Sangihe Islands Regency in North Sulawesi province of Indonesia on Saturday (28 February).

The earthquake was reported at approximately 1115 hours (local time) at a depth of 341 kilometres.
