As per the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported offshore near Balut Island, Davao Occidental, at 2139 hours (local time) on Friday (12 June).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 63 kilometers, while light shaking (Instrumental Intensity I) was recorded in General Santos City, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
