The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), one of the most prominent coalition of farmers’ unions in India, is scheduled to hold a Kisan Mahapanchayat (Farmers’ Gathering) at the Ramlila Ground in Delhi on 14 March 2024. Heavy footfall of around 50,000 participants is anticipated. Large number of farmers, from different parts of the country, primarily from Punjab, have started travelling to Delhi to voice their demands. Ahead of the gathering, the Delhi Traffic Police have issued certain guidelines for traffic management. However, as witnessed earlier, it is highly likely that supply chains and employee commute will be affected. Thus, it is necessary that companies remain vigilant to minimise the impact of potential disruptions.
