As per reports, the Bangkok Air Quality Data Center recorded elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) across multiple districts in Bangkok on Saturday (31 January).
• Citywide PM2.5 levels were reported above 48.9 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³), exceeding the national standard of 37.5 µg/m³.
• Air quality conditions were assessed at the orange level, indicating conditions that may begin to affect health.
• Districts recording the highest PM2.5 concentrations included Bang Rak, Prawet, Taling Chan, Thawi Watthana, Lat Krabang, Bang Kapi, Ratchathewi, Samphanthawong, Lak Si, Phra Nakhon, Khlong Toei, and Bang Sue.
• Across Bangkok’s northern, eastern, central, southern, and inner metropolitan zones, PM2.5 levels remained within ranges assessed as potentially affecting health.
