Some Eurostar services have since resumed as of 1630 hours UTC on Tuesday (30 December), beginning with the London–Brussels service, which departed shortly after 1600 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) on Tuesday (30 December).
• The UK Department for Transport warned that disruption is likely to persist for the remainder of the day on Tuesday (30 December).
• As of 1635 hours UTC on Tuesday (30 December), services remain severely disrupted. Eurostar has cautioned that the overhead power issue persists, with services subject to severe delays and last-minute cancellations.
• Passengers are still being strongly advised not to travel unless their service is explicitly confirmed.
• Additionally, the LeShuttle vehicle service has resumed only very gradually, with significant delays expected. While traffic congestion near the M20 and the Folkestone terminal has eased, large crowds of stranded passengers have been reported at London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord.
