As per reports, one high-risk and another low-risk demonstration are expected in Jakarta, and all have been reportedly categorised as low-risk protests planned for Thursday (25 September). The following are the additional details:
• 0900 WIB: In front of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Jl. Gatot Subroto, and the South Side of Monas, Central Jakarta and in front of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Jl. Sisingamangaraja, South Jakarta. Approximately 100 members of the Koalisi Nasional untuk Reforma Agraria (National Coalition for Agrarian Reform) will stage a protest demanding that the ATR/BPN be restored to its original function as the National Land Agency.
• 1000 WIB: South Side of Monas, Central Jakarta. Approximately 100 members of Forum Warga Kota (City Residents Forum) will stage a protest highlighting the dangers of diabetes and obesity, and demanding the implementation of a “Healthy Village” program against diabetes and obesity.
• 1300 WIB: In front of PT. Astra International / Menara Astra, Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Central Jakarta. And in front of the Attorney General’s Office, Jl. Sultan Hasanuddin, South Jakarta
And in front of PT. Astra Agro Lestari, Pulogadung Industrial Estate, East Jakarta. Approximately 100 members of the Asosiasi Petani Sawit Pasangkayu (Pasangkayu Palm Oil Farmers Association) will stage a protest demanding an end to the criminalisation of Tikke Raya residents, halting land grabbing outside HGU concessions, and investigating alleged corruption involving PT. Astra Agro Lestari in Pasangkayu.
• 1000 WIB: South Side of Monas, Central Jakarta. Approximately 50 members of Pemuda Muslim Peduli Demokrasi (Muslim Youth Concerned for Democracy) will hold a protest themed “Kamisan Yasinan” for a Peaceful Indonesia.
• 1500 WIB: In front of Taman Pandang, South Side of Monas, Central Jakarta. Approximately 50 members of the Aksi Kamisan Jaringan Solidaritas Korban untuk Keadilan (JSKK) (Thursday Action – Victims’ Solidarity Network for Justice) will stage a protest demanding resolution of past gross human rights violations and the abolition of impunity.
