Public transport schedule changes in Brussels due to national day celebrations on Monday (21 July)

As per reports, on Monday (21 July), Belgium will celebrate its National Day, with large-scale events taking place across the Brussels city centre. Due to these celebrations, the public transport network will be adapted, and road closures, crowd gatherings, and service delays are expected throughout the day.

• The day begins at 1000 hours (local time) on Monday (21 July) with the traditional Te Deum at the Cathedral of Saints Michael and Gudula, accessible via metro lines 1 and 5 (Gare Centrale station) and tram lines 4 and 10 (De Brouckère station).
• From 1000 hours to 2000 hours (local time), a large public celebration will take place at Brussels Park, accessible via multiple metro and bus lines, including metro 1, 5 (Gare Centrale, Arts-Loi), metro 2, 6 (Trône, Arts-Loi), and buses 29, 63, 65, 66 (Madou stop), 38, 54, 71, 95 (Porte de Namur), and 61, 92 (Botanique stop).
• At 1600 hours (local time) on Monday (21 July), the military and civilian parade will be held along Royal Street, attracting large crowds and resulting in security measures and mobility restrictions. The location can be reached via metro 1, 5 (Gare Centrale, Arts-Loi), metro 2, 6 (Botanique), and bus lines including 29, 63, 65, 66 (Madou), 38, 54, 71, 95 (Porte de Namur), and 61 (Botanique).
• The day will conclude with a concert and fireworks display at Parc du Cinquantenaire, starting from 2100 hours until approximately 2300 hours (local time) on Monday (21 July). Attendees are encouraged to use metro lines 1 and 5 (Schuman station), tram 81 (Merode stop), tram 7, 25, 39, 44, and buses 27, 61, 80 (Montgomery stop) and 12, 21, 36, 56, 59, 60, 64, 79 (Maelbeek stop) for access.
